Sudoku is a logic based
number placement game that was invented in the US, then popularized in
Japan before spreading to the rest of the world. The goal of the puzzle is
to place digits 1 through 9 such that each row, column, and 3x3 box
contains exactly one of each digit.
A
Kakuro puzzle can come in various sizes from
a simple 6 x 6 grid through to giant 30 x 30 brain melters. The idea is to
fill in the grid so that each set of blank squares adds up to the total to
the left or above. Only the numbers 1-9 can be used and the same number
cannot be used more than once in each set. A number may re-occur in the
same row or column in a different run however.
Othello is Another ancient game. Trap other
pieces between your own to capture them but be aware that the opponent may
do the same. Pieces will change sides (colors) dozens of times. The winner
is the one with the most pieces when no more pieces can be played on the
board.
With Hitori, you're given a grid of numbers and
you have to fill in some of them based on the Rules which are, No two
numbers the same on any row or column,No two filled-in squares next to
each other. When solved, all the empty squares must be joined
together. The joins can be left, right, up or down (diagonals don't count)
Hitori is simple to pick up, and is normally played on
an 8x8 grid although of course this can change. We soon hope to have
a free Hitori puzzle every day.

Hanjie is the latest puzzle craze to come out of
Japan. Number clues and simple logic lead you to fill in some boxes while
leaving others blank. If you fill in the boxes correctly, a picture will
emerge! This game is perfect for anyone addicted to Sudoku and looking for
a new challenge.

Wii's come with Wii Sport if you think Wii Pay is a game
that can match it youve got it wrong. Overall its not too
bad, your kids will probably enjoy it but its not a game
that will last very long.
