Wii Play
Wii Play is a complete set of nine games, all designed
for 2 players or a single player. If you play on your own Wii Play
will play the opponents part. Nunchuks are not needed for any of the Wii
Play games but players can use a Nunchuk istead of the D-Pad for the Tanks!
game.
When you first start Wii Play you will only have access
to one game. After playing each game another game is released until you have
access to all 9 games in Wii Play. If you play on your own, your top 5
scores are stored.
A single player with high enough Wii Play scores gets
bronze, silver, gold and platinum medals plus a message on the Wii
Message Board.

Wii Play Game 1 - Shooting Range
Go through increasingly difficult levels shooting
balloons, targets, clay pigeons, cans and UFOs. Some have the faces of the
player's Miis and you get extra poinys for shooting your opponents Mii. Did
you play Duck Hunt before? Ducks also fly by for eaded points when
shot. Wii Play adds bonus points for consecutive hits.
Wii Play Game 2 - Find Mii
Crowds of Mii characters congregate on the screen,
standing, swimming, walking and generally going about life. The player has
to pick out the Miis that match details that are given. For example finding
a number of identical Miis; the fastest Mii; choosing a favorite and finding
it again; or spotting the "odd Miis out". If you play on your own you play
against the clock otherwise you score against your opponent after two
minutes.
Wii Play Game 3 - Table Tennis
Table Tennis - This Wii Play game is exactly what is
suggests. You play table tennis using the the Wii Remote. Mii

the audience gets bigger.
Wii Play Game 4 - Pose Mii
Players move their Mii to avoid falling bubbles - use the
Wii Remote pointer. Rotate your Mii to the correct angle of the bubble with
the Wii Remote. Later the poses inside the bubbles change, and players need
to select the right pose then the bubble bursts. 3 missed bubbles fall to
the floor and this Wii Play game is over. Players can pop one another's
bubbles for extra points. The bit I like best is when various colored
bubbles freeze, allowing the player to pop all bubbles if they can.
Wii Play Game 5 - Laser Hockey
Play this Wii Play game like air hockey. 2 Players
move the Wii Remote to deflect shots and score in the opponent's goal. The
physics engine used to calculate the velocity and position of the shots is
extremely advanced, rivalling the Havok physics engine in realism. Single
player is two minutes match against Wii Play, and multiplayer mode is "first
to 8".
Wii Play Game 6 - Fishing
Players use the Wii Remote like a fishing rod, hooking
paper fish and yanking up to grab them. Points are added and
subtracted depending on the fish you catch.
Wii Play Game 7 - Billiards
Play 9 Ball Billiards as in the normal game. Line up a
shot with overhead 2D and behind-the-ball 3D viewpoints and aim for contact
anywhere on the cue ball to add spin or bounce or change the angle as the
cue hits the ball. Points for number of the ball sunk but deducted for each
foul shot.
Wii Play Game 8 - Charge
The player in the Wii game rides a cow and knocks over
scarecrows to amass points. This game is played against the clock. You
can increase or decrease the cow's speed, and change the way the cow jumps.
Wii Play Game 9 - Tanks
In this Wii Play game the player moves small toy tank
about the screen using the Nunchuk or Wii Remote D-pad trying to aim and
fire shells, which can bounce off walls only once before exploding.
Exploding mines are laid on the ground. The aim of the game is to destroy
all enemy tanks while avoiding their attacks. As players get more into the
game, new types of enemy tanks pop up. Enemy tanks may fire normal bullets,
multiple bullets at a time, fast rockets, multi-bounce rockets, lay mines or
become invisible. Wii play releases 20 missions to start with, but 80 more
missions with new enemy tanks are unlocked after 20 missions which earns a
gold medal.
